Just got official word from Samantha Johnson at Y.E.S. about the need for volunteers at the Christmas Store on Saturday.
Sounds like they had a good sign-up, and don’t need many volunteers. However, if you’d like to serve, she asks that you would please come for the noon to 4pm shift.
Also, Y.E.S. recently sent out a request for some volunteers leading up to the event to help set up and organize the store items. If you are interested in helping in that way, please call their office (615) 315-5333 or e-mail info@youthencouragement.org.
There will not be any youth classes this Wednesday (tomorrow) or Sunday (the 25th) due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
However, our annual Y.E.S. Christmas Store “Change for Children” drive will be starting the 25th, so please bring your piggy banks if you’re going to be at church!
If you’re travelling, no problem, Change for Children will last through December 9th.

We have a FANTASTIC service opportunity coming up on Friday the 22nd with Y.E.S., and we need your help!
Y.E.S.’s McIver Center will be bringing a busload of K-6th grade students to our building at 10am, so we’d love for as many of you as possible to show up around 9:00 to help us set up and get ready for them (This includes Lifeguards if you’d like to help, just let us know). We’ll be at the church until about 2:00pm.
We’re going to be playing games (In the Great Hall!), bouncing on inflatables, making some lunch, and having a lot of fun together, so you won’t want to miss it!
This is a great way to bless Y.E.S. by giving them a morning of fun that they don’t have to plan and facilitate on their own. So, if you have any great ideas of fun things to do, let us know so we can consider incorporating them!
Awesome crew helping Y.E.S. families make Christmas special for their kids this year. Such a great opportunity to serve.
