Soup-er Bowl XLVII!

souperbowlOn February 3rd, we will again be hosting a “Soup-er Bowl” party, and you’re invited!

Beginning at 5pm, we will have pizza, snacks, drinks, MarioKart, and, of course, football.

The cost of admission will be 5 or more canned foods that will be donated to people in need. Last year we were able to collect over 400 cans, and we’d love to top that this year!

Hope to see you there!

7th Grade Bowling Party!

Let the games begin! And may the odds be ever in your favor.

UPDATE: This was originally posted without specifying a date. It will be Tuesday, December 4th. Sorry for the confusion.

Hey 7th grade!

Since you guys did such an amazing job at Trunk-or-Treat and were voted the winners, I’m taking you bowling!

We’ll be meeting at Jaymar Family Entertainment Centers in Franklin at 6pm next Tuesday, December 4th, for two hours of free, unlimited bowling. All you need to bring money for are food, games, or those super cool socks you get out of a vending machine.

Parents, feel free to stick around if you’d like! You will have to pay for bowling, however. If you decide to go out to a romantic dinner at Zaxby’s instead, be sure to come back at 8pm to pick up your awesome 7th grader.

Hope you can make it!

Big thanks to all of the awesome middle school students who came out to Jump Sky High this past Friday!

Not only did we have a great time together, but you donated 44 much-needed blankets (as well as a $20 donation) to Green Street Ministries!

You guys rock!

Flag Football This Sunday

We’ll be playing flag football again this Sunday at J.T. Moore Middle School.

The Girls’ game is first at 3:00 pm on field 2 (that’s the field farthest from Granny White Pike).

The Guys’ game immediately follows also on field 2.

If you’re planning on playing, let’s meet there at 1:45 and practice a bit before the games. Nothing too intense, just enough to be organized.

Jump Sky High! – Middle School Fun Night

Trampoline Dodgeball!

Attention middle school students!

On Friday, October 26th, we’ll be headed to Sky High Sports for an awesome night of fellowship!

If you haven’t heard of Sky High, basically, it is wall-to-wall trampolines and non-stop fun. There is a dodgeball court, foam pit, and we’ll be getting pizza for everyone too!

They’ll be expecting us between 7-9pm on the 26th, and the cost to you will be just $15 and a blanket!
“A blanket?” You ask?… Yes!

Foam pit!

One of the goals of our ministry is to bless others even through our fellowship. So, since going to Sky High would usually cost about $25 for two hours, we want to cover a portion of the cost so you can use some of the money you save to bless others.

These blankets will be donated to Green Street Ministries to be given to the homeless.

We also need you to RSVP by Friday, October 19th on the form below so we know how many to expect.

In summary:

Who: Middle School Students (6th-8th grades)

When: Friday October 26th from 7-9pm
Where: Sky High Sports
5270 Harding Place,

Back-to-School Bash!

Students, parents, and volunteers,

You are all invited to join us this Wednesday at 6:30 in the Great Hall for our first, annual Back-to-School Bash!

Pizza will be served, and parents will have the opportunity to meet LifeGuards and hear more about what the youth ministries at Woodmont will be up to during this school year!

This will be a great time for the whole family to catch up, and get to know each other as we enter this new season. We will also be handing out a calendar of all of our major events from now through April!

Hope to see you there!

[Camp Cleanup] PARTY TOMORROW!

Hey everyone!

Come by our offices at 11am tomorrow to help us with camp cleanup. It will be an enormous help to us, and it will give us all an excuse to hang out again!

We’ll even pay you in pizza.

See you there!

Woodmont’s First Ladies Night of the Summer!

Hey girls! Carly and I will be hosting (and a few lifeguards too if the numbers get large!) a girls’ night next week on Wednesday, June 20th, directly after church! We’re going to be doing a lot of baking, having some awesome conversations about  our Savior, painting our toenails, doing crafts, and watching chick flicks during the night! This event is for middle AND high schoolers, so everyone is invited— just not the guys! Pick-up is at 10 AM the next morning, and breakfast will be provided.

Please be sure to let us know you are coming so we can purchase enough supplies and food. Don’t forget to bring $4, the best colors of toenail polish, your cutest pajamas, and a sleeping bag! We will be capping the event at 25-30 girls, so you MUST let us know if you plan to come. Please text Lindsey at 615-627-8193 or reply on the Woodmont Facebook page if you plan to be there. If you have any questions, you can call Lindsey’s cell number, or you can email her at bellln@mail.lipscomb.edu (3 Ls).

We hope you can make it! Love you guys!

Middle School Pre-IMPACT Party!

Calling all current 6th-8th graders!

This Thursday we will be hosting some guests from Westwood Church in Albany, Georgia who are going to be partnering with us at IMPACT, and, to celebrate their arrival, we’re gonna party!

Join us from 6pm to 9pm in the small courtyard between the “white house” and the main building for pizza, four square, interns,  MarioKart, and probably the most fun you’ve ever had.

You don’t have to be going to IMPACT to come, but, if you are, we’d love for you to come get to know the kids from Westwood and make them feel at home. Westwood’s youth minister, Tommy Johnson, mentioned how helpful it would be to help his group feel more comfortable because they are younger and from out of town. So, this is a great opportunity for us to help them feel more connected.

Feel free to bring games, snacks, and/or drinks. Please bring $3 for pizza, and RSVP below to help us get an idea of how many are coming.

Senior Banquet Photos

Did someone say, “Grill-out?”

Tomorrow night before church (5:30 pm) we are going to grill out. Jesse and I will cook hamburgers and hotdogs. Please bring $2 to help offset the cost and any chips or sides you may want to eat or share.
