More Whitsitt Photos

These courtesy of Haley Fisher. She really did a wonderful job. Don’t you just love those family photos? Some of them look like they could be in Time Magazine.

The pictures do a wonderful job beautifully communicating a truly beautiful day. Thanks to all who made it happen. It blessed me and has sustained me more than I can tell. Blessed be his name!

Hey everybody, it really was a special night. Thanks for all you did to make it happen.

Be sure to thank Luther Weathers for taking these pictures when you see him. I especially enjoy the ones where you can tell the elders were dancing.

David and I went to visit the place where we’ll be having Dude-fest January 18-20th, and it’s awesome!

Don’t forget to turn in your forms by January 9th. (On January 10th a $15 late fee will be added.)

And, if you haven’t already turned in an annual medical release form we will need you to turn that in with the application. That  can also be found in on the forms page.

Your Service Matters!

Jesse, Dean and I were able to take 30+ bags to Whitsitt Elementary yesterday. You all made that happen by; bringing food, sorting food after Harvest Sunday, and then making the actual bags Wednesday night. You are the best group of teenagers I have ever been around. I’m proud of you. You inspire me to be a better youth minister just by the way you naturally love people. If WoodmontYG is nothing else, let us be known as a group of students that love people no matter what.

Flag Football

I apologize for the long delay but I was waiting for it to be official, and now it is. Regrettably, there will be no flag football tournament and, thus, the first season has come to a close.

Regardless of either teams record, I think we learned a lot about how to play 5 on 5 flag football and, most importantly, we had a lot of fun being around each other.

I loved coaching you guys and I can’t wait for next year.

Although, hands down, the best part of coaching you guys was watching the way you cheered for each other. Win, lose, or draw, we are family and family sticks together.

Love you guys.
Dave

You guys rock!
