Blood Drive

Fall Blood Drive
Woodmont Hills will be partnering with
The American Red Cross on Sunday, September 16 in Room 201.
The current blood shortage has been critical throughout the summer.
YOU can make a difference.
We have appointment times available during the second service!
Sign up Sunday for your appointment in the Great Hall Lobby….OR
Go online to http://www.redcrossblood.org using Sponsor Code WoodmontHillsCOC19…OR
Call Michelle Henson at 346-7917.
Don’t forget, each donor (must be 16 with a parents consent, or 17 or older) in the youth area will receive 2 Regal Cinema passes. Also, now that we are keeping track of service hours (which will impact summer mission trip eligibility) we will count this as 1.5 hours of service.

Nashville Sounds Game Monday Night!

Hey dudes! Tonight marks the last Monday of the interns’ summer with us, so we’re going to be doing a lot of fun things this week to finish out their summer with a huge bang. We’ll be posting a schedule of the rest of the week very soon, so stay tuned!

Tonight we’re going to Greer Stadium together to watch the Nashville Sounds take on the Albuquerque Isotopes at 7:05 PM. Meet at Woodmont at 6 PM to carpool over to the stadium together. Bring a dollar if you want a hot dog, since it’s DOLLAR HOT DOG NIGHT! Can’t wait to see you guys! And maybe we’ll even catch a foul ball or two!

Adults, We Need Your Help!

Are you a responsible adult male and/or a medical professional? If so, we want you to come to camp!

We are very slim on adult volunteers for camp next week, and especially short on male counselors. We also need a camp “nurse.”

Please let us know if you are available to join us next week. It would be an enormous help for us, and an incredible experience for you!

We will leave on Sunday afternoon and return on Friday afternoon (the 13th), and it would be ideal if you could be with us the whole week. We know this is short notice, but we can also promise that it would be well worth the effort. It’s going to be an amazing week.

Let us know if you can help!

4th of July Celebration!

Hey guys! Just a reminder, there will be no church this Wednesday night. If you don’t have any plans for 4th of July on Wednesday night, Lindsey, Reid, and Chet would love to hang out with you! We will be going to Crockett Park to see fireworks, hear a live band, do a little swing-dancing, and just have an awesome time. Please meet us at Concord Road Church of Christ at 6:30 PM in the parking lot behind the building on Wednesday night. Please let us know by replying to the post on Facebook if you’re coming!

If you get lost or need help finding us, you can call Lindsey at 615-627-8193. We will walk over at 6:45 PM for the event, but if you can’t come until later, let us know and we’ll find you. Bring frisbees, soccer balls, footballs, a picnic basket of snacks, a blanket, and anything else you might need to enjoy the night. Also, if there are any adult volunteers who would be willing to accompany us, we’d love to have you!

If you’d like a little more information, here is the website for the event. We can’t wait to see you guys!

Camp Volunteer Info

Happy Monday to all of the wonderful volunteers coming to camp this year!

If you have not already, we need a few things from you:

  • Camp Coker Creek Waiver (This is different from the Woodmont waiver.)
  • Background Check form (If you haven’t already done one for Woodmont)
  • $90

Also, if you have not given us a solid commitment one way or another about being at camp, please do so ASAP!

College counselor applicants, you should have received an email with information this morning. If you did not, please email me to let me know (jbaker@woodmont.org).

College Co-Counselor Applications

Are you a college age student who would like to help out at Camp Telos this year? If so, go to our “forms” page find the “2012 counselor application” form, print it out and put it in the black mail box at church. Or, if you’re tech savvy enough, download it, edit it with your information and email it to vphipps@woodmont.org. We will have a selection process that involves a group of people with Camp’s best interest at heart.
Camp’s going to be so great this year!

RAVE Daughters Tour

Girls, join Lindsey and Carly Sunday night, June 10th, for an amazing night of worship, testimonies, and spoken word poetry as RAVE ministries’ Daughters Tour comes to Nashville.  We will meet at church and carpool to Rocktown together.  It will be $5 at the door.  We are also in need of women who would be willing to drive; so, if you can please let us know! Please RSVP by e-mailing Carly at ckendric@harding.edu.

Calling all Volunteers!

Are you a parent or adult interested in volunteering for WoodmontYG? Do you know someone who would make a great Lifeguard or would just like to help out here and there? If you’re computer savvy, you can download, edit, and then send it back to us, or you can print it off and put it in the black mail box downstairs in the youth room.
