Come Hang with Us During the Interns’ Last Week!
Hey guys! Here’s a schedule for the rest of the week! I’ll update every night before/morning of on Facebook to remind you of what’s going on for the day, but here’s all of it in one place!
Monday: Nashville Sounds vs. Albuquerque Isotopes Game at Greer Stadium at 7:05 PM; it’s Dollar Hot Dog Night, so bring a few dollars to eat. Meet at 6 PM at Woodmont to carpool.
Tuesday: Girls’ Bible Study at 4 PM at the intern offices; Baseball at the Crieve Hall fields on Hogan Road at 6 PM. Bring old shoes because the clay has just been laid on the field and it’ll probably stain. Bring your own bat and a picnic dinner if you like! I’m bringing McDonalds!
Wednesday: Brushfire Pottery and Pizza at 12 PM. We’ll meet at Brushfire and order pizza next door at Papa Johns. If you want lunch, bring $3 to cover the cost. Painting pottery usually costs about $5 at the cheapest for things like tiles and small figurines, and you can paint plates and mugs for about $12-15. Girls and guys welcome. We’re going to have some fun! We’ll be meeting at McDonalds on Franklin Pike for dinner at 5:30 before church again. We’ll have church and then afterward, the girls are having a sleepover at the Fishers’ House at 614 Dahlia Drive. We have another late dinner, cookies, an awesome movie, and a little fellowship planned for that time together.
Thursday: Build-A-Bear workshop at 12 PM. We’ll be going to Cool Springs Mall to make a stuffed animal for Lindsey to take with her to Uganda. Anyone who wants to kiss the heart can come! We’ll probably eat lunch out there too. Meet at Woodmont at 12 Noon to carpool out there! The interns will be busy that night, so we don’t have anything planned for this night.
Friday: Safari Fridays at Nashville Zoo at 11 PM. Meet at Woodmont at 11 AM to carpool! Fridays in July and August are ‘buy one get one free’ ticket times if you bring in a Kroger receipt and Kroger plus card. Pair up with someone and split the $15 cost of the ticket! Directions from the Zoo website: Kroger Plus Card holders must present their card AND any Kroger receipt at the Nashville Zoo ticket booth to receive the “buy one, get one” deal. Zoo staff will keep the Kroger receipt. Go buy a drink for the zoo or ask your parents if they have one before you come with us or you won’t get the deal. Then, at 6 PM, we’ll be having a cookout at Woodmont!
Saturday: The Drive in Theatre has been cancelled. The movies playing aren’t appropriate to take youth groups to, so we had to change our plans. We will be having a Thrift Store Formal that night! During the day, go to the nearest Goodwill or Thriftsmart and get the tackiest, ugliest formal clothes you can find. We’re going to go out to eat for dinner— in those clothes. We’ll meet at Cici’s Pizza on Nolensville road at 7 PM. Afterward, we’ll come back to the Woodmont Youth Room and HAVE A DANCE PARTY.
